HIGH FIDELITY

♥ MUN
Your Name: Trig/Twig.
Contact info (AIM and email):
[♠ AIM] - trigger the twig
[♠ MSN email] - Ask first pl0x :)
RP Experience: About 4-5 LJ communities as well as a few non-English boards outside of LJ. Around 2-2.5 years of English roleplaying and about 4-5 in Swedish.

♥ CHARACTER
Status: Permanent
Full Name: Minato Arisato
Series: Shin Megami Tensei: Persona 3
Canon Background:
1999: Ever since that gloomy day on which his parents got into a horrible accident, Minato was fated to move from place to place before he finally treaded into the care of what was going to be his friends, family and companions for a year (2009-2010). Minato, previously oblivious to the sin that mankind had committed with their selfish actions and greedy intentions, was forced to face the thin, fragile line that parted reality from dream, mind from matter, once he accepted the power of persona.

2009:
Not long after an intense first battle, Minato learns about the Dark Hour and the Shadows, as well as the Apathy Syndrome - and those who suffer from it: the Lost. He is invited into SEES, the group of people whose intentions are to put an end to the twenty-fifth hour (the dark hour) and the creatures that roam within it - the Shadows.

He's just enrolled Gekkoukan High, but is quickly forced to face the responsibility as the leader of the squad as they search through Tartarus, a wicked building which only exists at midnight. It's a maze, seemingly without end, a home to an endless amount of gruesome, brutal creatures that feast on the mind of the human.

And Minato, with a power that is remarkably different from the other SEES members, is - without complaints or protest - the one persona user whose fate is to lead the heroic group through he chaotic mess of Tartarus and prevent the Dark Hour from overlapping with reality, so that humanity can no longer be harmed by the savage Shadows that lurk within.

Note; sorry if this is confusing! I tried to make it as short as possible, but if you need more in-going info, just tell me and I'll provide you with whatever :D. ♥

(Due to lack of sleep, I felt like adding this :( You don't have to read, I'm just kind of amusing myself.)
Irrelevant facts: My Minato...
- Is BFF with Kenji :D
- Doesn't really care about the Swimming Team but goes anyway because man, SL ftw.
- Growing love interest: Yuko ♥
- Wants to brutally murder Junpei at times, but thinks he's a cool guy. Really.
- Finds Akihiko a little plain and a tad bit intimidating.
- Likes Yukari as a friend. A really good friend.
- Secretly loves to hang out at the old bookstore, just to meet the old couple ♥
- Has tried several times to beat the Gourmet King, and failed miserably.
<s>- Dozes off sometimes, but only because he's daydreaming of Yukari in that oh-so-cute bikini...</s>
- Doesn't really see how Karaoke improves your courage... I mean, wtf, he's fighting monsters 25/7, lol.

Personality:
APRIL 27TH - Taurus.

Minato is a rather laid back and observant character. While not overly polite, he is not rude - he's the easygoing and friendly type, who has no problem accepting other people; while he might not trust them fully, he's prepared to overlook their flaws and give them a chance; two in harmony surpasses one in perfection. This might, to the common eye, just come off as plain indifference: like he couldn't care less. While this isn't true, Minato isn't really fazed by much. No matter how much the emotions stir within him, he's calm and collected and trusts his intuition and mind before he lets himself do anything rash. These are strong traits and they make him an exceptional leader.

He isn't the sharpest one out there, however, and is sometimes a little slow or naïve.

With his bad posture and somewhat distant/dazed appearance, some people might judge him as lazy. This isn't always true; Minato is determined and accomplishes the goals that's put ahead of him, without complaints or protests. He's quite diligent, prone to doing his best.

He might not always make himself heard, but he's truly one to give you his honest opinion/advice on what ever matter if you ask him. A trustworthy friend who's prepared to do anything for the better, and someone who's a tad bit lonely due to the fact that his parents no longer live. He's able to fend for himself, and this means that Minato sometimes comes off as a little distant and detached.

AU Class: Civilian - Handyman (leaning towards engineer) kindofsortof. Not sure if this falls in the "crew" category, even :-))). Correct me if I'm wrong!
Iduna Project Modification:
Some sort of affinity for mechanical stuff. Like, he can <s>magically</s> easily find out what's wrong with an item/thing and fix it quickly?
- obviously his ability to summon persona and stuff.

AU Background:
The thing that Minato treasured the most in his life was his family. Mother, Father and his little sister, whom he loved deeply. His family was fairly wealthy: they lived nicely, for both parents had good jobs and a wide range of contacts that usually came over for lunch or at random hours, just to talk. Minato recalled them as friendly and very generous people, but at such a young age, he couldn't really understand what they talked about anyway.

It had been Minato's first day in school. His parents weren't able to come since they had important matters to attend to, but they had given Minato some extra pocketmoney as an apology. It had been way too little to cover up for their deaths, though.

He'd been so excited about telling them what they got to do during class, that he'd almost run all the way home. Back then, he was a really energetic little fella, but after the long run he was so exhausted that his senses were straining and he completely missed the group of people that was crowding outside of his house.

He was too little to understand then, but it was later revealed that those contacts on his father's side had gotten him into a tough situation that had cost him a lot of money, and thus he'd been forced to take a loan. When he couldn't pay back, the mob had threatened his family, and not soon after, their threat had been carried out.

As the only surviving member, the shocked orphan was sent to various places before his mother's old friend took him in, where he lived for several years. Long enough to almost feel like a real son to the helpful couple.

This was the reason for him to quit school early. Minato was old enough to live by himself, anyway, so he'd decided to pick up what ever jobs there were out there in order to fend for himself and create himself a life. Eventually, he got himself an own apartment - small, but big enough for him.

And that is pretty much where he spends his time whenever he's not out doing what ever works are on his menu.

Sample RP:
It was a dull day.
Dull in the aspect that it was very much like every other day - unbearably long, too warm for his liking, and on top of that - full of jobs that got his arms bruised but didn't seem to help him muscle up at all.

Definitely not as planned; even though it'd been months, he was still equally weak and perhaps a bit clumsy as before. Yet, Minato didn't complain. At least not out loud.

The teenager waved goodbye to the old woman he'd just helped out before he turned around to walk away: hands in his pockets, earphones secured around his ears and neck tilted back just slightly, so that he could observe the many stars beyond.

[] "Do you see those stars up there?" The kid had said and pointed his filthy fingers towards one of the burning balls of fire in the mess of glitter and darkness beyond the thick glass above.

Minato had nodded while his eyes fixed on the largest one.

"I've heard that it is where the dead people go." Continued the boy, frowning. "But ya no'..."

There had been a small paus, in which Minato had caught the other one digging in his nose not too discreetly, before he went on:

"I figure those big guys just send their enemies there to actually kill 'em, ya no? So ya, that's where dead people go... err."[]

Without moving any emotionally connected muscle in his face the slightest bit, Minato simply closed his eyes as he continued his stroll, giving into the funky beats of his music completely.
